Instructions
Step 1
Cream sugar and butter.
Step 2
Add eggs one by one until fully incorporated.
Step 3
Sieve in flour and mix carefully.
Step 4
Add vanilla and stir.
Step 5
Line an 8 inch cake tin, bake at 160c for approx 50 minutes or until a skewer comes our clean. Leave to cool.
Step 6
Once cool, use hands or a mini blender to turn the cake into crumbs. Add frosting until the crumbs come together. It should be mouldable, not crumbly or too sticky. You can use cling film to squish it together without getting too messy.
Step 8
Use hands to roll into smooth balls.
Step 9
Melt some candy melts, dip each lolly stick into the melts and then slowly about halfway into each ball.
Step 10
Chill for around ten minutes. Melt the candy melts, you may need some or all of the vegetable oil to thin the melts enough to coat your pops.
Step 11
Dip in one smooth movement and gently tap off the excess. Use a Styrofoam block to hold until set, or place upside down on grease proof paper.
Step 12
Use some ready to roll icing to make roses and once set, decorate with a different colour candy melt, edible dust or sprinkles. Add your roses with a little candy melts.
Step 13
Use white ready to roll icing and cutters (clickstix/tappits etc) to create the bride and grooms names. Leave to set for 10 minutes or so, then use a cocktail stick to add a tiny bit of candy melts to stick each letter on.
Step 14
Finish them off with a lolly pop bag and tie.
