Decorating ingredients

  • 250 g Skin Tone Ready to Roll Icing (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • 250 g Pink Ready to Roll Icing (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • 50 g White Ready to Roll Icing (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • 2 tbsp jam in a piping bag (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • 250 g buttercream in a piping bag (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • Paint brush (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • Textured rolling pin (For the Bride cupcakes)
  • 50 g Lincoln Green Ready to Roll Icing (For the Groom cupcakes)
  • 2 tbsp jam in a piping bag (For the Groom cupcakes)
  • 250 g buttercream in a piping bag (For the Groom cupcakes)
  • Paint brush (For the Groom cupcakes)

Instructions

To decorate the Bride cupcakes:

Step 1

When cooled, create a small hole in the centre of each cupcake and fill with raspberry jam.

Step 2

Pipe a bulb of buttercream on each of the cupcakes, this is to form the rounded shape.

Step 3

Knead the Skin Tone Ready to Roll Icing until pliable. Roll out on a clean dry surface, lightly dusted with icing sugar. Cut out a circle slightly bigger than the top of the cupcake and place over the buttercream bulb, being careful not to press down too hard and trying to retain the curved shape.

Step 4

Knead the Pink Ready to Roll Icing until pliable. Roll out on a clean dry surface, lightly dusted with icing sugar. Roll over with a textured rolling pin to form the dress design. Cut using the shape of the dress and attach to the Skin Tone Ready to Roll Icing with a little cool boiled water.

Step 5

Make a set of small pearls out of the White Ready to Roll Icing.

Step 6

Attach the pearls to the dress with a little cool boiled water, in a half circle shape on the Skin Tone Icing to make a necklace, and extra on the Pink Icing where you would like to add more detail.

To decorate the Groom cupcakes:

Step 7

Make the buttons for the jacket with 2 small balls of Grey Icing, using the end of a paint brush to indent the button hole. Attach these using cool boiled water.

Step 8

Make the buttons for the shirt with 3 small balls of Grey Icing and attaching these with cool boiled water.

Step 9

Make a simple rose by first making a sausage shape out of a small amount of Pink Ready to Roll Icing and flattening it down, then roll it up to form a rose. Attach a small leaf made with Lincoln Green Ready to Roll Icing and adhere to the cake with cool boiled water.

Step 10

Handy Hint: Change the colour of the Icing to match the Bride and Groom's colour scheme.
