Sunday 22nd September 2013

If you couldn’t attend the Renshaw Sugarcraft Academy, but would love to know how to model a perfect miniature fairy, create a baby blanket cake, make neon flowers and shape beautiful sugar paste flowers, then fear not! We’ve pulled together an Exclusive Collector’s Edition Hints & Tips. Including super star cake decorators Juliet Sear, Frances McNaughton, Elizabeth Solaru and Renshaw’s very own Claire Bailey.

If you’re a cake decorating professional, a ready to roll enthusiast or a fondant icing amateur, then we have just the hints and tips guide for you. There’s something for everyone and we hope you enjoy just a snapshot of our weekend at The Cake and Bake Show.

Juliet Sear, aka Fancy Nancy Cakes, shows us how to create this adorable baby blanket cake. Step-by-step discover exactly what you need to create this cake too. Refine your creative skills and piping techniques.

Catherine Westwood, Editor at Wedding Magazine says that ‘Juliet Sear is at the forefront of modern cake design. Her Fancy Nancy creations are endlessly innovative, and this is what makes them so special.’ Discover how to make your cakes extra-special too.

Itching to try our NEW Neon Multipack? Claire Bailey shows you how to create this stunning cake. It’s a simple design, but could transform a birthday, christening or wedding cake into a mouth-watering creation.

Having been our Renshaw expert for several years, Claire is always on hand to answer technical ready to roll questions (ever wondered who answers all your icing questions on social media? She’s the face behind the tweets!).

In just 45 minutes, Frances McNaughton took a lump of our Flower and Modelling Paste and transformed it into this incredibly lifelike fairy. Frances shares her secrets on which tools you’ll need for the job and exactly how to bring to life your own packets of modelling paste.

Having been a sugar craft tutor and demonstrator since 1987, Frances became an accredited demonstrator for The British Sugarcraft Guild in 1995 and has written countless hints and tips books, meaning you’re certainly in safe sugar crafting hands.

Famous for being the only three times winner of The Great Cake Bake, Elizabeth Solaru demonstrated these gorgeous flowers to a packed audience at The Cake and Bake Show.

Elizabeth has appeared on the BBC Good Food Channel and BBC Radio as a cake expert, so download the Exclusive Hints & Tips and learn from the best!
