It’s almost the New Year, so whatever your level of expertise it’s the ideal time to embrace new cake decorating inspiration. Which exciting flavours, intriguing shapes, and inspired techniques will the New Year bring?
The dynamic fuchsia floral wedding cake
In 2015 we learned that an iced bun is a thing of beauty. We swooned over the beautiful colour gradation of an ombre cake. We learned that you never, ever bake icing, and we discovered that just when you think you’ve seen every possible direction creative cake decorating can take, there’s something even more amazing to uncover.
This year, we’re looking forward to investigating upcoming ideas and inspiration from our favourite baking businesses that will take us way beyond the humble sprinkle.
The exquisite ombre cake
Will 2016 be the year of the airbrush cake? Will the secret ingredient to the next batch of cutting edge cookies be marmite? Will macarons have become extinct and instead replaced by a tasty morsel more delectable still? We want to hear about your expectations for 2016 and which baking challenges you plan to set yourself.
Take our survey to be in with a chance of winning a Kenwood mixer, the perfect professional cake-making appliance. The first 200 entrants will win a free Renshaw product.
