Royal Wedding Cake Competition- The Top 10

Friday 18th May 2018

First of all, Renshaw Baking would like to thank every single person who entered their cakes into our Royal Wedding cake competition! All of your cakes were fantastic and each as individual as the couple getting married.

We are very pleased to announce the winner of the Royal Wedding cake competition as Rebecca Neave! A HUGE Congratulations, your Fox themed trio of wedding cakes was stunning. We loved the amount of skill that had gone into decorating these cakes, the freehand painting, intricate royal icing detail and delicate lace pattern. All three cakes link very nicely with varying designs and the set-up with different heights display the cakes is a great way.

WINNER- Rebecca Neave

The Top 10

Along with our winning cake, we’ve picked out some of our other favourites to make up the Top 10 wedding cakes.

Sugar Ruffles

This subtle 3-tier wedding cake is simply beautiful, we love the sugar work and delicate colouring.

Iona Wilson

Such a striking cake, with a silhouette bride and groom plaque, we love this spin on the classic topper.

Sophie Page

Tiers upon tiers of elaborately decorated cakes all covered in the most elegant sheen, this cake is a head turner.

Francesca Pleavin

A pair of cat cakes dressed in their wedding attire, these cakes are super cute, we can’t help but love them.

Polly Swinney

This particular novelty cake combines a love of travel with a variety of sugar flowers for a very pretty cake.

Nina Evans Williams

Combining various cake shapes is becoming very popular, like the bottom tier of this cake. We love this mix of traditional flowers and royal icing detail with the very personal touch of modelled dogs.

Sophia’s Cake Boutique

An impressive combination of shades of gold and ivory showed off in various forms makes for a stunning cake.

Joy Davey

Bright colours, chocolate drips, sugar flowers and cow toppers. This cake has it all going on and we love every single bit of detail.

Zoe Smith

Subtly including Disney characters in this cake adds that personal touch to a very beautiful design. How many can you spot?
