Wednesday 10th July 2013
This coming weekend, we’ll be spending time at Buckingham Palace in celebration of the 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation. As Royal Warrant holders for our almond products, we’ll be showcasing our marzipan amongst some fabulous cake creations this coming Thursday 11 July through to Sunday 14 July, mingling with both royalty and the lucky tickets holders attending the event.
The festival will see over 200 companies which are privileged to hold Royal Warrants of Appointment come together, promoting the very best in business and shining a light on innovation, excellence and industry through trade and craft. Sugar craft is no exception…
On our stand, we’ll be showcasing an intricate Coronation inspired Crown Cake created by Terry Tang Designer Cakes, plus an extra special bespoke creation from Fiona Cairns, the lady behind the royal wedding cake for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge back in 2011 (more of which later this week).
We’ll also be demonstrating how to model classic marzipan roses, and giving away 100g mini packs of marzipan for those with a love for almonds and a hankering to create beautiful edible decorations. Over in the demonstration theatre, meanwhile, our Renshaw experts will be showing visitors how to cover a traditional fruit cake in marzipan and icing, and making adorable teddy bear models our of our ready to roll icing range.
So, for those attending the event, come see us at stand FD07, and those who fancy making a royal effort at baking and cake decorating back at home, we’ll be giving 20% discount off our online shop, www.renshawbaking.com, too.
