Sesame Street Cupcakes

Easy to make cupcakes decorated with buttercream and Ready to Roll Fondant Icing.

Baking ingredients

  • 4 oz margarine
  • 4 oz caster sugar
  • 4 oz all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 floz milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Decorating ingredients

  • 500 g coconut flakes
  • 1 pinch Food colouring in red, blue, yellow, green, black, orange
  • 200 g Renshaw White Ready to Roll Icing
  • 4 oz icing sugar
  • 1 oz butter


Step 1

Make the cake mixture and divide into 12 cake cases.

Step 2

Once the cakes are cooled, make butter icing and spread over the top of the cakes.

Step 3

Divide the coconut into 4 bowls and add food colouring. Sprinkle the coloured coconut onto the cakes.

Step 4

Knead and roll out the fondant and cut out circles for eyes. Colour a bit of fondant black for the mouth and add a bit of black fondant on the eyes too.
