Decorating ingredients

  • 500 g Renshaw Baby Pink Ready to Roll Icing
  • 250 g Renshaw White Ready to Roll Icing
  • 250 g Renshaw White Flower and Modelling Paste
  • Silver dragees
  • Silver edible paint

Instructions

Decorating the top layer:

Step 1

I made two vanilla sponge cakes, filled with jam and buttercream, and gave them a buttercream coat.

Step 2

Knead baby pink icing until pliable and roll out on a bit of icing sugar until wide enough to cover the cake.

Step 3

Lift the icing over the cake and smooth with your hands or a smoother.

Step 4

I used a rolling wheel tool to make the diamond print and placed silver dragees in the centre of each diamond.

Step 5

The princess photos are printed on icing sheets.

Step 6

I made the framework using a half & half mix of flower paste and white ready to roll icing and pushed this into a silicone frame mould.

Step 7

I glued these around the photo and painted silver using edible silver paint.

Step 8

For the bottom tier you will need more icing. You can repeat the same steps with the frame and edible print. Add any extra decorations you would like, such as a tiara or diamante ribbon.
