Neon Party Dinosaur Cupcake
Our Neon Ready-to-Roll Icing Multipacks have been refreshed for 2020, with brand new packaging and a brand new colour included in the pack (black).
To celebrate, we’ve got a recipe for this cheery party dinosaur cupcake, which uses all the Neon colours, as well as our lush Vanilla Frosting. We’re sure you’ll be dancing after making one of these!

Prepare your equipment:
You will need; Cooled boiled water, fine brush, spoon, rolling pin, icing sugar, knife, circle cutter, cocktail stick, and straw with one end cut to look like a smile. NOTE: All decorations are attached to the cupcake with water.
Making the background:
Mix the Vanilla Frosting with a spoon. Mask the top of the cupcake with a thin layer of Vanilla Frosting using the back of the spoon.
On a clean dry surface knead Black Icing until pliable. Dust the work surface with icing sugar and pin out the Black Icing to 2-3 mm thick. Cut 1 large circle and use to cover the cupcake.
Making the dinosaur:
For the dinosaur, on a clean dry surface knead Turquoise Icing until pliable. Shape 10g into a cone shape for the neck. Press down with the palm of your hand to flatten. Attach to the cupcake.
Knead a small ball of Yellow Icing until pliable and shape into a sausage shape. Press down with the palm of your hand to flatten. Attach to the neck and mark in lines with the side of the cocktail stick.
For the head, shape 10g into an egg shape. The thin end is the top of the head and wider end is bottom.
Press with your fingers to shape the end of the nose and mouth area.
Mark 2 oval eye sockets and 2 round nostrils with the end of the paint brush.
Mark in the mouth with the side of the cocktail stick. Press dimples either end of the mouth with the end of the paint brush.
Make the arm with a small ball of Turquoise Icing, shape into a cone shape. Press down on the work surface to flatten the end. Attach to the side of the body. Make tiny yellow sausage shapes for the nails and attach to the arm.
For the eyes, shape 2 small ovals of Yellow Icing and fill the eye sockets. Make 2 small balls of Black Icing and attach to the eyes.
