Decorating ingredients

  • Renshaw White Ready to Roll Icing
  • Renshaw Flower and Modelling Paste
  • Various food colourings

Step 1

To create the ball of wool, first take some Rice Krispies mixed with melted marshmallows and shape them into a ball of wool shape.

Step 2

Next, I covered it in buttercream to create a smooth surface and to help the icing to stick.

Step 3

Colour the icing to whatever colour “wool” you would like and begin to roll out long strings of icing.

Step 4

You then need to stick these onto the Rice Krispie treats long ways making sure to cover all of the Rice Krispie treat ball.

Step 5

When the ball of wool is covered leave to set.

Step 6

Next you need to roll out a thick strip of white icing to make the paper wrapping for around the middle of the wool. Stick this to the ball of wool and leave to set.

Step 7

Once it is hard you can then use your food colouring and alcohol (I used vodka) to paint on a design. I used to opportunity to sneak in a birthday message.
