National Cupcake Week Inspiration

National Cupcake Week falls between 18-24 September this year, and with cupcakes being one of the most popular bakes in the UK, we thought that this week warranted a blog post celebrating the delicious treats, as well as providing you with inspiration, tips and recipes for you to expand your cupcake repertoire at home.

There are many forms of cupcakes from sweet to savoury plain to iced, or perhaps you like your sponge filled. This individual way of cake making increases the flexibility in your designs so they can be made for any occasion, or even if you just fancy a bit of quick and easy baking!

We’re seeing more and more celebration cakes such as wedding cakes being constructed of cupcakes rather than the traditional solid tiers, as well as the rise of the cupcake gift box! You can start with a basic cupcake base and then get creative with the decoration to make them your own, and personal to your celebration.
