Mother’s Day Competition: Make Mum A Cake

Mother’s Day will be fast upon us, and here at Renshaw, we’ve been thinking about just how great our Mum’s are. They’re always there when you need them, and we bet that the main lady in your life was the one who gave you the gift of baking, just like ours did. 

So, in celebration of Mums everywhere, and to say thank you for all their hard work and support over the years, we’re running a big competition in the run up to Mothering Sunday. 

If you read the title of this blog post then you’ve probably got the gist already. We want you to bake your Mum (or any lovely lady in your life) an amazingly beautiful Mother’s Day cake and post the result on our Facebook, Twitter or G+ so the whole world can see how much you love your Mum and your awesome baking skills. 

We’ll be saving all your entries in our make Mum a Cake photo album on Facebook, so please use the hashtag #bakingmemories so we can keep track of your fabulous creations.

DATES

The competition will be running from Tuesday 11 March until Mother’s Day on the Sunday 30 March. 

PRIZE 

The lucky winner will receive a £100 Peggy Porschen voucher to spend in The Parlour (http://www.peggyporschen.com/parlour/) AND a £100 Renshaw voucher. Just imagine the mouth-watering cakes you’ll be able to savour at Peggy’s and then try and recreate with all our products at home! There will be five runner-up prizes too, each of who will receive the new Peggy Porschen book, Cakes In Bloom, which features all the techniques you need to make beautiful sugar paste flowers. 

JUDGING CRITERIA

We’ll be judging the entries on the following criteria:

• Skill
• Creativity
• Finish

HOW TO ENTER

Please share your cake with us via social media. Either: 

1. Upload a picture of your cake to our Google+ Community
2. Share a picture of your cake to Facebook 
3. Tweet us photo of your cake using the hashtag #bakingmemories 

So make sure that you pull out all the stops to delight your Mum, and also to be in with a chance of winning this incredible competition.

Competition Terms & Conditions

Renshaw make Mum a Cake Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Entrants and winners must be aged 18 or over and be residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland.
2. The competition is not open to employees (or their immediate families) of the Promoter, its agents or anyone professionally connected to the promotion.
3. No purchase necessary to enter.
4. Entries must be submitted by posting a Mother’s Day themed cake or bake created by yourself on Renshaw’s Facebook, Twitter or Google + pages.
5. Winners are chosen at Renshaw’s discretion.
6. First prize includes a £100 voucher off one order at www.renshawbaking.com before Sunday 22 June 2014 and a gift voucher for £100 to use at Peggy Porschen’s Parlour in London. 
7. The five runner-up prizes are a signed Peggy Porcshen Cakes in Bloom book to be sent out following the pre-release date on 08 May 2014.  
8. Renshaw reserve the right to feature the winning and runner up entries on the www.renshawbaking.com website and in Renshaw Baking communications.

10. Competition entries close at 11:59pm on Sunday 30 March 2014. 
11. The winner will be announced week commencing Monday 31 March 2014.
