Make Icing Flowers For Mum

Tuesday 18th March 2014

With Mother’s Day just around the corner we thought now would be a perfect time to brush up on your sugar crafting skills and practice making some beautiful icing flowers to adorn that delicious cake you’ll be baking for dear old Mum.

Renshaw’s very own Nic Hemming will be leading a live tweeting event on the 27th of March from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, and we want you to follow along on the hashtag #RenshawCakeTalk while making your own flowers.

Nic will be talking your through every step of the process, from creating the centre of the flower to cutting and shaping the petals for a realistic finish. All you’ll need is some Ready to Roll Icing, a sugar craft rolling pin and a ball tool. Also, pre-prepare some cooled boiled water and have a clean brush to help fix the petals in place.

Follow along with Nic and by the end you’ll be able to make brilliant flowers to decorate your cakes. And be sure to share your creations with us on Twitter!

So book the slot out in your diary, Thursday 27th of March from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and we’ll see you online for some #RenshawCakeTalk!
