Fairy Door Easter Egg

Make your Easter gifts eggs-tra special by following our
step by step video tutorial. Using our Ready to Roll Icing, simply cover your Easter egg and then decorate to your hearts content! We’ve gone for a mystical Fairy Door theme for ours but feel free to experiment and let us know what you come up with.

Simnel Cupcakes

Now we couldn’t put together an Easter blog without mentioning Simnel cake. Dating back to medieval times, this light fruit cake was originally made to commemorate the end of Lent and is now enjoyed by families throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and around the world. This traditional Easter treat consists of delicious fruit cake with two layers of marvellous marzipan. We’ve chosen the cupcake version for this blog but the bigger cake is just as good!
Try them yourself here.

Textured Easter Eggs

Textured Easter eggs are a great way to easily personalise your gifts this year and there are so many options when it comes to decorating. Using a few simple tools will allow you to create some really elaborate designs and they are child-friendly too. We’ve used our Ready to Roll Icing to make the egg shapes but you could use chocolate eggs, mini eggs or creme eggs and then cover and decorate as normal.

Easter Activities

Easter Egg Decorating

This is perfect for kids (and adults too!) and is a great way to spend an afternoon. You could use up some leftover icing to cover your Easter eggs and then decorate them however you like! Or you could really personalise your Easter gifts by piping some Royal Icing messages onto them or creating some fancy and elaborate designs, the perfect excuse for some practice!

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter egg hunts are probably the most popular Easter activity and for good reason! Nothing quite beats the sense of adventure as you scavenge around the house or garden seeking the elusive Easter treasure and the feeling of eternal glory when you finally find one! Easter egg hunts can be enjoyed by young and old alike and don’t take too much effort to setup. All you need are some Easter eggs and a few good hiding places. Take your hunt even further and leave clues that lead your adventurers to the hiding place of a giant Easter egg. First one there gets to scoff the lot!
